The Company:
Welcome to ROC - a solid foundation for your future
Do you want to be part of an exciting new retail business? A business bringing a distinctive concept to the UK that is backed by one of the world's biggest brands?

If the answer is "yes", then ROC UK Limited could provide the opportunity you're seeking. ROC UK Limited is a recently formed subsidiary of Esso Petroleum Company Limited, and our vision is to be the best refreshment and refuelling operation in the UK. At the heart of our new operation will be a dynamic team of Store Managers who understand how to deliver that vision. Could you be one of them?

The Challenge
The demands of customers on the move are changing rapidly and their expectations are growing. They're short on time and they know what they want - convenience, a choice of fresh foods and quality products, and outstanding service.

To deliver this, ROC has embarked on an ambitious expansion programme and has successfully assumed operation of 60 Esso stores in the UK and Ireland and plans to grow this to around five times this number by the end of 2006. A key feature of this expansion is On the Run, our new concept store which offers a bright, spacious shopping environment and the contemporary On the Run cafe. To compliment this new store format, many other existing Esso stores are being upgraded to the same high standard.

But we know that our stores are only as good as our people. We need natural leaders who can deliver excellent store standards and fast, fresh and friendly service to our customers every time. So what counts is your ability to build and retain an enthusiastic and focussed team with a passion for service and a determination to be the best.

Graduate training and profiles:
Once you join the ROC team you will participate in a 6-8 week training course to prepare you for store management. This is a comprehensive programme combining classroom sessions and in-store "on the job" experience. On successful completion of the programme you will be appointed a position as Assistant Store Manager leading to Store Manager where you will have full responsibility for your own store. Good performers will move from "Snack & Shop" sites to our larger "On The Run" sites. Further opportunities are available for Start up Managers and Territory Managers.
