Putting theory to practice: the future of technology and work
In
today’s digital economy, businesses need data and analytics, software
development, and transformational business change. Yet these skills are
in short supply. Until now. Peregrine Future Talent offers
comprehensive, stand-alone, career programmes that cover a range of
business-critical and technical skillsets, to train and develop the
future workforce.
Who are we?
Founded as a testing consultancy we have evolved
to support our clients’ early careers resource needs within software
development, data, business analysis and project management.
We have unique relationships with front line government organisations as well as leading private sector household names.
Since 2011, we have employed and launched the careers of more than 800 people.
Our career programmes
You’ll typically start with up to 12
weeks of hands-on, practical training led by industry expert coaches
that take theory and apply it to practical applications and
project-based scenarios.
Next, you’ll be placed on-site with one of our clients. You’ll be able to choose from a range of different industry sectors that includes banking, insurance, luxury retail, professional services, government, technology, aviation and defence.
Following this, you’ll transition into a career within our consultancy division OR you’ll have the option to choose a permanent position at your placement organisation.
Every programme gives you exposure to innovative, disruptive technology and training methodologies and elevates what you have to offer.
What happens on placement?
As part of your continuous
professional development, you’ll have the opportunity to further your
study and gain industry recognised certifications. We’ll challenge you
to think differently, solve problems with creativity and push yourself
while expanding your horizons.
Career Programmes
Software development and implementation
Our development and
implementation programmes prepare you for a career in software
development, testing, cloud or applications support. During training,
you’ll engage in identifying, designing, installing, testing,
maintaining and updating a software system for a company from the ground
up. As part of your continuous professional development, you can study
towards certifications from professional bodies such as BCS, ISTQB,
Oracle, Microsoft, Google and Amazon.
Data and analytics
Your initial training will cover modules
such as: entry to analytics, data in SQL, Python and Excel, data
visualisation and modelling, machine learning and artificial
intelligence. All to prepare you for a career path in data analysis. As
part of your continuous professional development, you can study for
certifications from CompTIA and BCS – The Chartered Institute for IT.
Change and Transformation (Business Analysis and Project Management)
During
training, you’ll gain exposure to an extensive range of business
analysis tools and techniques to manage business change. You’ll learn
how a business analyst plays a key role in communicating between
internal and external parties, support the organisation’s needs and
design the latest innovative business solutions. You’ll also learn how
to identify project risks, analyse critical paths, manage and delegate
stakeholder tasks, as well as formulate and publish key project reports.
All to prepare you for a career path within Portfolio, Programme and
Project Management or Business Analysis.
As part of your continuous professional development, you can work towards an International Diploma in Business Analysis from the BCS – The Chartered Institute for IT or you can study for certifications from professional bodies such as AMP, PRINCE2, BCS and PMP
