The Glencore 2024 Industrial Placement Programme
Designed to accelerate your career in the commodities trading, technology, engineering, or environmental science spheres, this 12 month programme gives talented undergraduates exposure to the world-class people and careers on offer at Glencore.
This is a fast-paced placement in our London office. You’ll be given your own areas of responsibility and have the opportunity to contribute to the work of the business from day one.
By the end of the programme, you’ll have developed strong skills in your chosen function. You will also be equipped with the highest level of professionalism, personal ownership and commercial aptitude – skills that are essential to future careers at Glencore.
Industrial placement students may be able to return as full-time team members on our Graduate Programme upon completing their studies, depending on performance and business requirements.
Commercial Engineering Placement
The Commercial Engineering team use technology to solve business problems across all the Commodities that we trade, it composes of Quantitative Engineering, Risk Engineering, Market Data and Application Development.
The team is highly engaged with Front Office teams offering an opportunity to learn the business and use technical skills to have a direct impact.
Key requirements:
• Python skills.
• Interest in
Finance and/or Commodities.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
•
Aptitude to learn quickly and use initiative.
• Be able to
communicate effectively with both a business and tech audience.

You must be studying a degree with a year in industry, and successful candidates need to be available to start their placements in July 2024.
