Forterra is a leading UK manufacturer of clay and concrete building products. Across our 14 manufacturing sites, our 1,400 employees create the bricks, blocks, precast concrete, paving, and many other vital products to support construction projects across the nation.
Our Legacy & Innovation
Our brand portfolio features some of the most well-known names in construction. Iconic brands like London Brick and Butterley have been shaping skylines since the 19th century, while innovative brands like Formpave, and Jetfloor meet the needs of modern, sustainable construction. Whether steeped in history or pushing the boundaries of design, our products are built to meet today’s demands.
Originally part of Hanson’s building products division in the 1960s, we expanded through strategic acquisitions before rebranding as Forterra in 2015. A year later, we became a publicly listed company on the London Stock Exchange.
