Company Company profile

As one of the world's leading transportation businesses, the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group is a truly international organisation. Our people are from every corner of the globe and with offices in 125 countries, our operations span it. As such, a career with us puts you at the heart of a business with genuinely huge potential.

However, as a business we’re continually seeking to strengthen our position through new acquisitions and opportunities to expand our remit.

With our commitment to such high standards, we expect a lot from our people. Not least our graduates. However, we also offer a lot in return. We believe in the importance of developing our people’s talents. As such, you’ll find us one of the most supportive environments you’ll ever encounter. A business where you get out as much as you put in.

Training & profiles

Our graduate programme consists of two distinct streams:

  • The Business stream includes placements in core areas of our business such as Sales, Import and Export, Business Development and Vessel and Crew Management.
  • The Finance stream placements are centred on the various finance departments of our different business units and we will also support you in attaining professional qualifications (ACCA or CIMA).

Join either our Business or Finance stream, and you’ll spend two years on the MISE (Maersk International Shipping Education) programme, which is designed to nurture the management skills you’ll need to lead our business. You’ll complete three UK placements, while working towards an industry recognised internal diploma which blends theoretical study at our training centre in Copenhagen with a wider appreciation of our business environment. In our finance stream, you’ll also have the chance to study for professional qualifications. At the end of each programme, you can take up an expatriation placement from over 300 positions in 125 countries across the world.
