What could I be involved in as a Digital Fast Streamer?

On this scheme, you could be involved in some of the world’s most innovative e-government projects. Our Digital teams design, build and deliver a variety of services used by millions every day. Join them and you could work on major digital transformation and IT upgrade projects or advise ministers on Digital strategy and policies. This scheme is divided into two strands. With postings across different departments and roles, the Non-Technical Roles Strand offers a broad range of experience and exposure to four roles – Delivery Manager, Product Manager, Business Analyst and User Researcher. The Technical Roles Strand offers the opportunity to specialise in either a Software Engineer or Data Scientist role, with postings in different departments. Whatever your role, and wherever you’re based, you’ll help evolve government services and improve our customer experience for people across the UK.

Training includes:

It starts with a dynamic introduction to Government Digital and Data and continues with a blend of specialist learning and development activities covering technical and core leadership skills. In addition, each area has its own learning path. Some include working towards gaining specialist technical qualifications.
