The Commercial Representative Role

The Commercial Representative role is a key member of our commercial team – your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing email relationships with potential customers. Through understanding our buyer persona and the current market, you will identify potential new leads, and engage with them through multiple channels in order to book an introductory meeting.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and researching potential clients for outreach. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth research to identify potential target companies that align with our services.
  • Creating and editing high-level sequences for outbound emails. Tailoring these to different target audiences and incorporate compelling content that captures the recipients' attention and encourages them to respond positively.
  • Writing personalised emails to clients. Showing genuine interest in their specific needs and challenges.
  • Booking in and attending meetings following outreach. You'll be booking Intro meetings into Commercial Team members’ diaries and providing them with all the relevant information from your research to ensure a successful meeting.
  • Identifying and outreach to prospects to attend our events. A part of our strategy is to engage new and existing prospects through immersive in-person events around social mobility and a key part of your role will be to contribute to that guest list with fresh prospects and outreach.
  • Researching and understanding the current economic market. Through staying on-top of news and business publications, you can inform your outreach decisions and maximise opportunities.
  • Updating and managing the CRM (Hubspot). You'll be responsible for updating the CRM with accurate and relevant data, including client communication, meeting outcomes, and progress on various deals stages.
  • Hitting monthly and quarterly outreach targets. One of your primary performance metrics will be meeting specific outreach targets on a monthly and quarterly basis. These targets may include the number of outreach emails sent, the number of meetings scheduled, and the conversion rate of leads into actual clients.

Your career progression is in your hands – if you’re hitting your targets, you could progress to a Commercial Associate anywhere from 6 months in the company. This is an incredible opportunity to grow your commercial skills with hands-on experience and exposure to large organisations from the off-set and increasing levels of responsibility.
