This position is based out of our London office, which is situated in the prestigious Lloyd’s of London building, 1 Lime Street, London, EC3M 7HA . The position is full time (35 hours per week) and will become permanent following completion of a six month probation period (standard).

We offer salary increase incentives on completion of Chartered Insurance Institute exams (Cert CII, funded by Lothbury UK Ltd) of £500 increment for each successful completion of an exam.

Responsibilities include:
• Dealing with incoming enquiries from wholesale brokers, clients and other offices in a professional and timely manner.
• Assisting in the preparation of contract documentation and endorsements, underwriting presentations for renewals and new business.
• Providing support to other Brokers in all aspects of broking as required.
• Following up on new and existing renewal business quotations and lending support to Brokers, including attendance at weekly team meetings.
• Maintaining and ensuring completeness of market correspondence in accordance with the company procedures. Assisting in regular file audits.
• Use of Acturis, PPL and other relevant London Market systems following training.
• Processing transactions and preparing evidence of cover documents/Market Reform Contracts (which comply with company standards and current market practice), debit notes and premium adjustments in accordance with instructions given by Brokers/Account Mangers.
• Assisting in the technical administration/operation of London Market facilities. Early review of renewals and referral to Underwriters subject to terms of London Market facilities.
• Monitoring the timeliness of the placement process to ensure Contract Certainty is achieved and FCA deadlines are adhered to.
• Researching and approaching Lloyd’s syndicates and company markets.
• Building strong relationships with Underwriters and wholesale brokers.
• Broking of risks direct with Underwriters within Lloyd’s and the London Market.
• Providing excellent customer service and quick response times to all clients and colleagues.
• Assisting in researching and approaching new prospects.
• Working towards Cert CII with an opportunity to pursue further funded qualifications.
