About the International Tax & Transfer Pricing team

You will be joining our ever-evolving national transfer pricing team.Our team prides itself for being friendly, multicultural, supportive and dynamic with a focus on individual growth, learning and development in a collegial environment. Our clients range from listed multinationals, large entrepreneurial businesses, domestic owner managed businesses and clients across multiple sectors.

About the role

The role of a International Tax & Transfer Pricing Trainee is to work with members of the international tax & transfer pricing team on the transfer pricing and international tax aspects of the client portfolio. Duties will include the following but not limited to:

Attending meetings with multinational clients with the transfer pricing team members, documenting functional analyses interview notes and preparing functional analyses reports;
• Preparation of deliverables from advisory to compliance and audit reviews; and
• Understanding and assisting with the project management and administrative aspects.

You will be provided an opportunity to work with colleagues across the firm, both in the UK and internationally during your time on our graduate programme, resulting in a broad understanding of the services we can offer our clients.

We are now operating a hybrid working model, so as a trainee you will split your time between working from home, visiting the office, client sites when required or studying for your professional exams.

During your first two years you will:

  • Understanding and applying the OECD Guidelines from 2022;
  • Recognising the nuances from HMRC guidance for Transfer Pricing;
  • Preparation of transfer pricing master and local files, transfer pricing planning analyses and other deliverables as required;
  • Preparing benchmarking analyses including the analysis of financial data;
  • Preparation of transfer pricing audit memorandums;
  • Work on complex international tax compliance projects; and
  • Liaise with colleagues from other departments and clients whilst building good communication with both.

By the end of your third year you will:

  • Work on a range of different International Tax & Transfer Pricing advisory and compliance engagements covering a range of technical areas.
  • Develop a strong technical knowledge of the UK transfer pricing legislation.
  • Coach and lead more junior team members on advisory engagements.
  • Work directly with our clients and begin developing relationships with those clients to deliver on repeat engagements.
  • Begin to manage engagements, including planning, budgeting and project managing different service lines.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our control and risk management procedure.

Fully funded professional qualification for this role: Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA) / Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA)

Additional qualification(s): Level 7 apprenticeship
