BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate Programme you will be required to attend your site 3-4 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.

What you will be doing
Do you want to help design, build, test, commission and maintain cutting edge, complex and innovative submarines? Do you want to play a key role in the development and maintenance of unique electrical power systems and complex control systems across the most exciting range of products the UK has to offer? As an Electrical Engineering Graduate, you will join an exciting team who work throughout the whole product life cycle, designing and developing systems and adapting new technologies, and supporting the build, test, commissioning and in service operation of all current, new and future classes of submarine (Astute and Dreadnought)

- Power System Architecture; Protection and Co-ordination; Earth Fault Monitoring; Modelling (Simulation and Analysis) and Operation
- Power Equipment (active, generation, passive)
- Power Generation and Distribution – both AC & DC
- Energy Storage and Power Electronics
- Degaussing and Cathodic Protection
- Submarine Lighting Systems
Skills
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering ideally with experience of Electronic & Electronic Engineering, Control and Instrumentation, Digital and Wireless Communications or Power Generation and Distribution Degrees.

On commencement of employment you will be paid a one-off non-consolidated lump sum payment of £2,000 (the “Welcome Payment”).
