Integration Graduate programme
HS2 is Britain’s new high-speed railway connecting London and Birmingham. It is the first new intercity railway to be built north of London in more than a century.
At HS2 we offer a two-year rotational graduate programme, providing you with the opportunity to stretch and challenge yourself across various programme related placements. This programme is designed around enabling you to get as much experience as possible across different teams working on our major contracts within a particular business area.
We have an opportunity available in our Integration Team. The role is based in Euston, London, however travel may be required to other HS2 offices/sites.
Integration Team Overview
- The Integration team sit within the Railway Delivery Directorate. The Railway Directorate acts as the Internal Client charged with bringing into service an integrated railway.
- The role of the Integration team is to ensure that all the infrastructure, railway systems and rolling stock that we buy, works together.
- Over your 2-year development programme, you will gain exposure to a broad range of disciplines enabling the further development of your existing knowledge and skill sets.
- You will have the opportunity to rotate within various areas that may include; Project Management, Configuration Management, Technical Change, Requirements Management, System Assurance, Functional Integration, Software Integration, Process Integration, Technical Risk & Issue Management and Capability Integration.
As an Integration Graduate your responsibilities may include -
- Working with and supporting Systems Integration technical experts across the following process areas: Project Management, Configuration Management, Technical Change, Requirements Management, System Assurance, Functional Integration, Software Integration, Process Integration, Technical Risk & Issue Management and Capability Integration.
- Exposure to both Agile and Waterfall ways of working.
- Supporting the Project Manager with the development and maintenance of workstream level plans, including management of project deliverables and business as usual activities
- Supporting the Project Manager with the management and maintenance of schedules.
- Supporting the collation of Systems Integration reporting up to SLT Level.
- Contributing to the management of Professional Services contracts, including the tracking of budget and resources enabling the successful deployment of consultants across Systems Integration.
- Supporting technical risk and issue identification and management as part of the Prime Systems Integrator.
- Providing administrative support (including data inputs and analysis, as well as contributing to internal and external meetings) for all Systems Integration technical disciplines.
- Assisting in the management of and engagement of a multi-discipline stakeholder pool.
- Actively promoting and embedding Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.

Knowledge:
- 2:2 Bachelor’s degree (or non-UK equivalent) in any discipline
- Knowledge of IT software such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent)
Does HS2 offer sponsorship if I do not have the Right to Work in the UK?
To be eligible to apply to the HS2 Graduate scheme for our September 2025 in-take, any applicant will need to already have the on-going Right to Work in the UK, that is not time-bound in any way.

Our graduate programme salaries:
Salaries are currently pending pay review however please see below figures based on 2024;
Basic £26,650 + 15% Flexible allowance
Please note the rotational placements may vary and are subject to business requirements.
