About the opportunity

You will help in project implementation, process design, and business plan development to achieve operational goals. You will also contribute to small-scale improvements in Processes, Materials, and Suppliers through training and development.

Working diverse colleagues, you’ll gain insight into every aspect of the technical department! You will rotate through the department with the goal to establish a strong foundation and insight into what a career with us at Forterra might look like. Responsibilities you could own on the programme include:

  • Handling our supplier relationships whilst ensuring the quality of products.
  • Working on activities that focus on reducing energy, over-processing and over-production.
  • Achieving a strong understanding of the quality, technical and compliance activities in the area they have been assigned.

By the end of your training period, you should be ready to take on a permanent role in our technical function.

About you

This role is ideal for graduates with a 2:1 in Process or Manufacturing Engineering, Material Scientist, Supply chain or any other business-related degrees. For this role, you'll need to be comfortable working on your own initiatives and taking accountability for projects early on. You will need also need a full driving licence, as well as the ability to travel to sites across the UK. Other qualities we’d like to see include:

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent IT and technical skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and planning skills to ensure the seamless running of operations.

We are unable to offer sponsorship so you must have the full, unrestricted right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme.
