The best degrees for landing a graduate job have been revealed after a study by The Mirror.
The Mirror has revealed the top ten degrees to help you land a graduate job. The list comprises of traditional professional careers but also shows evidence of a changing economy and the need for different skills in 21st century Britain.
The list looks at the top ten degree areas and graduates who landed a job or started further study after six months of graduating.
The best degree to study at university for employment prospects was Medicine and Dentistry. An impressive 99.4% of graduates who studied Medicine and Dentistry were in employment or further study after six months of graduating.
Medicine and Dentistry was joined by Education in second place, with 92.6% of graduates working or studying after they completed their degrees. The results do not show if this was in Education & Teaching or not.
Following Education was Veterinary Science (85%) and Subjects Aligned to Medicine (91.8%). The latter degree group includes degrees like neurology and biomedical science. Law was the fifth best degree to study to find work or further study with 88.6%.
A few degrees represented a changing face of the modern workplace. In ninth place was Language degrees with 86% in work or study after six months and can be seen as a key component of the modern work place. Despite just missing out on the top ten, Computer Science and Physics were in eleventh place.
