Sales is a really rewarding career choice for graduates, according to one university leaver at Softcat.
Softcat is one of the UK's largest and most reputable IT infrastructure providers and works with a range of clients in the public and private sector. According to a graduate at the company, careers in sales can be more than just personally rewarding, but also financial.
Laura Andrews studied Law at the University of Hertfordshire and joined Softcat as an Account Executive in June 2015. She says there was a few reasons she chose to join Softcat.
"The first reason I wanted to work at Softcat is because I wanted to work in sales," she says.
"I wanted to be in control of my own earning potential. I have a few friends how work in sales and they make good money and they enjoy what they do. The reason I chose Softcat in particular was because they treat their staff really well and I'd research them online."
Laura says the hours at Softcat can be long, but it doesn't feel like going to work.
"I knew it would be lots of long hours and hard work being here at Softcat but, in all honesty, it is a lot better than I expected it to be," she says. "You don't feel like you are going to work every day but you're going to a building with lots of computers and your friends - it is great!"
"The day I came for my interview I absolutely loved it and thought 'I definitely want to work here'."
