We are looking for an enthusiastic person with an interest in developing a career to join our award-winning UK Tax & Company Secretariat team in a fascinating and fast-moving industry. 

Your key responsibilities:
Working across Omnicom’s in-house tax and Co Sec teams the Compliance Associate role will help to ensure that Omnicom’s compliance obligations are met.

Key responsibilities will include:

·      Supporting in the UK tax compliance process for 120+ UK entities. This will include:

  • Completion of corporate tax returns;
  • Responding to enquiries from HMRC;
  • Processing the quarterly tax payments to HMRC.

·      Supporting with the Company Secretariat compliance process for 120+ UK entities. This will include:

  • Companies House filings;
  • Monitoring & updating our internal global entity management system (GEMS);
  • Preparing minutes for declaration of dividends and approval of statutory accounts

·      Assisting with the management of various other internal compliance and reporting systems

·      Assisting the team in the adoption of new IT solutions to automate tax compliance processes

·      Researching and documenting technical points, including tax & Company Secretariat

·      Assisting other members of the wider tax and Company Secretariat team with various tasks and ad hoc projects, such as:

  • Letters and other correspondence with HMRC/Companies House
  • Global dividend tracking and approval

·      Building strong relationships and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.

Training & support:
We will provide financial support towards a Tax, Accountancy or Company Secretariat professional qualification after successful completion of a probation period.

We will also support your professional career development with mentorship from colleagues the wider tax and Company Secretariat teams.

 What we are looking for:
The successful candidate should have:

·      Enthusiastic attitude to work

·      Strong people skills with an ability to work collaboratively with the wider organisation

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

·      Proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

·      A good understanding of Office 365, and the ability to utilise new IT systems quickly 

·      An ability to manage and analyse different sources of data to improve processes

Academic requirements:

·      Minimum 2:1 degree

·      Minimum 128 UCAS Tariff points from 3 A-Levels or equivalent

Interview process:
After the initial screening of CVs, candidates will undertake a numerical reasoning and written skills assessments. Successful candidates will then be asked to attend a two-staged interview process.
